B1G+A v1.1 blends the B1G+A Power Rating with ESPN FPI. It tested best for accuracy in combined 2024-2025 backtests (highest share of winners picked correctly). Some projections differ slightly from numbers published earlier.
B1G+A Model 2.0
Week 7 upgrade
The big jump: 100% live in-game metrics and analysis for every FBS game (win chance on every play, 4th-down decisions graded live), plus the start of B1G+A's own data repository. B1G+A began building its own dataset in Week 6, after the Friday game (Iowa 41, Washington 24, Fri Oct 9, 2026). Live play-by-play is kept and used to train the model going forward.

2.0 plus updates since then, including news-driven rating adjustments (example: UCLA -3.0 points after QB Nico Iamaleava was ruled out, Oct 12, 2026). Same FPI/B1G+A Power Rating blend schedule. Live in-game tracking launches in BETA in Week 7 (Sat Oct 17, 2026): its first live run, so expect some delays or gaps on busy Saturdays while B1G+A scales up; final numbers are checked after each game.
B1G+A Model 2.2 BETA · current

Current version (BETA): 2.1 plus a three-row live ticker on the homepage and /live, building on the live in-game tracking from 2.0 and 2.1. Row 1 is B1G games, row 2 is the Top 25 scrolling the opposite way, and row 3 is every CFB game from the ESPN scoreboard, with a slower scroll. Each game shows the B1G+A win chance, with the projected loser's percentage in red beside it. Same FPI/B1G+A Power Rating blend schedule.
COMING NEXT
More of B1G+A's own data. Starting Week 7, B1G+A keeps the play-by-play from its live in-game tracking of every FBS game. That data trains the model going forward, so B1G+A's own share grows each week.
The ESPN FPI blend keeps shrinking, on the schedule already in the code:
- Week 7: ESPN FPI 70% · B1G+A Power Rating 30%
- Week 8: ESPN FPI 65% · B1G+A Power Rating 35%
- Week 9: ESPN FPI 60% · B1G+A Power Rating 40%

Small fixes ship in batches. Minor fixes and tweaks are grouped and noted here in the next version, rather than each one getting its own number. Dated rating adjustments for news (like injuries) are listed in the model notes.
